ormerly founded in February, 2004 and named “the Center for the Studies of National Security Strategy ”, the center is composed of five research groups, which are dedicated to the studies of international security and strategy, economic securities, international law, culture and communication security, information technology and security respectively. Taking as its prime target to conduct research in international relations and national security strategy with the help of the academic resources of UIR, it also attaches great importance to materializing its academic achievements in the forms of textbooks, school courses so as to further strengthen relevant UIR academic disciplines. In an effort to step up its communication with scholars from both China and abroad, the center has hosted quite a number of major activities for academic exchanges, e.g.academic forums, whose impacts are still being felt in the fields of international relations and national security studies.
