ormerly founded in 2001 and named “the Center for the Studies of Government Procurement ”, the institute has recruited, from both China and abroad, quite a few renowned experts and scholars who are dedicated to the studies of government procurement (GP). The IPMGP research can be further divided into three areas: 1) GP theories, 2) GP laws and regulations of international organizations and countries aroundtheworld, and 3) GPreform and practice.

With the support of government organizations, the institute has established three training and practice bases in collaboration with major cities and enterprises in China, and completed a number of national and ministerial academic projects which are in the lead in GP studies in the country. Right now, it offers one Master’s program in biddingandGP, and one GP Ph.D.program.
